Mrs. Potato Head

Play Mrs. Potato Head means dressing up in Mrs. Potato Head parts.

Don't stick that in your nose too far!

Dak the Dog

Ellie drew Dak the dog. Those that know Ellie well know that part of the time Ellie is Dak the dog. Dak is a black and white dog with pointed ears that she has come up with in her imagination and she pretends to be Dak sometimes. She will want to eat cereal without milk out of her bowl like a puppy does or she will wag her tail when she is happy (she shakes her bum back and forth). It's really silly the things she comes up with, but cute.

A Day on the Farm Turkey

Ellie feeding a turkey at "A Day on the Farm" class. The turkey was really nice- she ate out of our hands and let us pet her. If you pet her head she would close her eyes. She was also a lot fatter than the wild turkeys in Roseville. Ellie rode a pony too, but the turkey was her favorite. That night when she said her prayers she said, "Heavenly Father, thanks for blessings, thanks for toys, thanks for the turkey, thanks for the mall, amen."

Shocking!

Last night Dave and I were making dinner when all of the sudden BOOM the kitchen window was shattering and flying in on us. I was just screaming and shaking because at first I didn't know what was happening. After a few seconds we realize that the neighbors tree had fallen onto the house and came crashing through the window. The branches were actually sticking through the window and some of the eaves and shingles were in the kitchen. As you can see in this first picture the tree broke at the roots.
It smashed into the roof at the corner of the house. Breaking the outside light, the eaves, the drain pipe.
This is the window after Dave and my dad got it all covered (it has been raining here all week).
Dave went out and chopped up the parts of the tree that were on the kitchen window, but the tree came all the way to the window on the add on, the kitchen window, and my parents bedroom window.

Happy 29th Birthday Dave!

Dave's birthday was January 13th. We drove back from Roseville (visiting family and meeting Dave's brothers' girlfriends). We went out for some yummy Thai food for Dave's birthday dinner and celebrated with cake! Happy Birthday Dave!

A Day on the Farm

We enrolled Ellie in a class where she gets to go once a week and see different farm animals. She gets to go on pony rides too! The first animal was a chicken. Ellie loved it! She followed the chicken around the whole time touching its feet and tail feathers and beak. She just had to examine the whole chicken.

Holiday Happenings

Ellie was excited about Christmas this year. She wanted a kitty that meows and that is what Santa brought her. That kitty got carried around for two days straight. Kayla got a slide from Santa. Which is perfect for her because she is a climber.
Ellie's kitty, brownie.
Ellie's preschool party. They had a Polar Express party. Here she is drinking her hot cocoa in the "train".
Stylin' Kayla
Ellie's drawing of a person. So cute!
