Samoa's Bath Time

Samoa's getting her bath in the sink. She licks with her tongue over and over while she is getting her bath. After her bath Samoa loves to get her hair dried with the blow dryer.

Hanging Out with Berkley

This is Ellie's friend Berkley. They are only two months apart (Berkley is a little older). It is really fun to see Berkley at Storytime and Playgroup. Today Berkley came over and played with Ellie for a little while. They had a lot of fun.
This is Berkley giving Ellie a hug. They both fell over a second after this picture was taken. Ellie and Berkley were giving each other kisses, feeding each other snacks, and handing each other toys. It was really cute.

Climber

I put Ellie's potty downstairs and she has used it a couple of times. However, her favorite thing to do is to climb in and out of her potty (don't worry I scrub it like crazy). She also likes to take it apart and put it back together again over and over.

Grandma's Hat

Grandma Hernandez made Ellie this hat. Ellie loves to pull this hat over her face and walk around laughing because she can't see. Maybe she laughs because I have to run and pull it up before she runs into a wall. Silly Ellie!

My latest project!

This is one of my latest projects that I have been working on.

Ellie loves to read!

Ellie loves to read. She spends more time looking at her books than she does playing with her other toys. She will sit and pretend like she can read (I think that she really thinks she can read). It is so funny because she will talk to herself while pointing at the page and then she will turn the page and do it again until she has read the whole book to herself. She likes to flip through the hymn book and my Harry Potter book too.

Ellie After Church

Surgery Day

Ellie had her surgery on her philomatrixoma today. We took her into the hospital at 6 am, which means we woke up at 4:30 am to get there on time. When we first got there we put her in a yellow hospital gown. She really liked all toys there. So of course she didn't mind being there at first. Then we took her into another room where they gave us a liquid medicine to give her, which she spit out most of. While we were waiting for the doctor to come Ellie started to get really relaxed from the medicine, so by the time they took her she really didn't care. Dave and I went and had breakfast and by the time we got back the doctor came out in 10 minutes to tell us it went well.
When they brought Ellie back into the recovery room she was just waking up. She cried a lot. Ellie didn't like the IV in her hand. She tried to bite the IV. She cried for a little while, but by the time we left Ellie was acting more like her normal self. I don't think that she even notices the bandage on her face. However, she has had the sore on her face for about 9 months before having it removed, so maybe she is just use to having something there. We are very happy that it is gone now and we don't have to worry about it anymore.

Spagetti Dinner!

We had spagetti for dinner tonight and Ellie had noodles all over her face.

Bath Time

Ellie's hair is getting long, so this mohawk didn't want to stand straight up. I feel like Ellie is getting so big. She jibber jabbers all the time now, she loves books, and she will play with her little barn animals. Today she was making her toy cow and horse jump on the roof of the barn and go down the slide. She has also been chasing Samoa around more. Samoa hates it, but it makes Ellie laugh. Oh... another thing that Ellie was doing today was walking in front of the fan and laughing because of the wind blowing on her face. Her personality comes out more and more everyday. I love it.

BUZZZ

Watch out! Here comes the bumble bee. This Saturday our ward had a Halloween party. Ellie got to wear her bee costume and go trick-or-treating. Well...Ellie wasn't really into the trick-or-treating thing and Dave and I ate all the candy, but it was fun anyway. Plus Ellie looked so cute in her costume. I think next year she might be a little more into the Halloween thing.

I love these thermal pjs. They are just so cute on Ellie.

Giraffe

This giraffe is Ellie's sleeping buddy. Sometimes she will just be talking to it when you go in to get her from her nap or she'll pick it up and hold on to it, giving it hugs, when you take her out of her crib. My favorite thing is when Ellie leans down to look at its eyes when whe talks to it or gives it kisses.

Play Group

Once a week we go to a little play area in the market place close to our apartment. Ellie is actually one of the littlest ones there so I follow her around while she plays. She likes to walk around, go down the slide, sit on the frog, and climb up and down the stairs to the slide.

Couple of Babes

Yellow Lips

It is really funny when Ellie finds these yellow lips in her toy box because then she puts them in her mouth and keeps them there for a while while she plays with her other toys. Ellie is also starting to walk more and more everyday.

All Done

Today Ellie was sitting in her highchair having cheese for her snack. When she was done eating her cheese she did sign language for all done. I asked her, "Are you all done?" She nodded her head yes. Whenever I ask Ellie a question she nods her head yes for her answer. Everyweek we go to the library for storytime and I check out a bunch of books for Ellie. This week we got a book about baby animals. It has pictures of baby animals and says "Who's baby am I?" This book is Ellie's favorite this week and today she was pointing at all the pictures saying, "baby".

Silly Smile

Ellie is so funny with her new smile. When we get out the camera and tell Ellie to smile this is the smile she does. She walks around a lot more now. This week she got her shots. So sad! They put one in each arm and leg. Everyday she seems to do new fun and cute things.

I love this outfit that Ellie is wearing. The shirt is actually pjs, but cute enough to be a shirt too. Aren't her new shoes so cute?!
