Sister Love

Before Kayla was born I was a little nervous that Ellie would have a hard time adjusting to Kayla, but Ellie has had no problems at all. They're just so sweet to each other. Ellie holds Kayla's hand or rubs her head and loves on her or if Kayla is getting fussy Ellie says, "It's okay Kayla". Kayla just loves Ellie. Kayla is always smiling at Ellie. The other day Ellie was making noises while she was going down the stairs and Kayla was laughing like Ellie was being so silly.

Ellie's Little Market

This cute little market I found on clearance from $60 to $14 so I just had to get it. Ellie loves it! It came with a little toy cash register and play money. Ellie sells me food and I pay her with the play money. This is the window where I sit and buy my play food.

Kayla is now 4 months.

Ellie Loves the Little Einsteins

Ellie loves loves loves the Little Einsteins (a cartoon on Disney Channel). She got the figures for Christmas and has carried them (Quincy, Annie, and Rocket) around with her everyday since. They sit on the table while she eats, they get baths when she does, they go in her crib for naps, she hurries and puts them in my purse if we are going out anywhere; you get the idea that she loves them and carries them around all day. She has her figures act out parts of the shows that she has seen. That is by far her favorite thing to play and we pretty much play it all day long everyday. Her favorite character is Quincy and her favorite character for me is Annie and then of course Rocket. In this picture she is holding Annie and Quincy (she really doesn't care that much about Leo and June).

Funny Conversation

This morning at the table...

Ellie: Where'd Grandma go?
Me: To the Gym.
Ellie: Not Papa.
Me: No to workout.

I knew that Ellie listens to everyone's conversations, but I hadn't realized that she knew my dad's name is Jim.

Happy 28th Birthday Dave!

Ellie getting the first taste of the cake. Happy Birthday Dave! We celebrated Dave's birthday this weekend because Dave is at the Academy today (his real birthday).

Dave got a hat (because his head gets cold now that he has to shave it) and a pair of jeans for his birthday.

Me and the girls (Ellie had just taken a bath)

My Haircut, Dave and Kayla

Kayla has definitely gone from newborn to baby. She is smiling and laughing. She kicks her legs and talks in her baby babble. It is just so fun! Kayla loves to nurse. She eats and eats (which has already helped me lose all but three pounds of pregnancy weight in three month- Hooray!). Look at her adorable chubby arms in these tummy time pictures. Too cute. Can you see her dimple in the top picture. She has just that one.

Dave holding Kayla (check out those biceps!). Doesn't Kayla look so much like her daddy.

My hair was so long, but also very much in the way. It was always getting in Kayla's face and she was always pulling on it. And I had the worst roots. I had about 5 people comment on my roots (isn't that terrible when it is bad enough that people start saying stuff to you) I knew it was bad so it just made me laugh. But now here I am with a nice new do.

Kayla's Blessing Day

Kayla in her blessing dress when we got home from church. Dave blessed her on December 28th.
